Happy Weekend! Let's make it MAGICAL!

Let’s try this again, Stuffies!
And welcome to our hopefully triumphant second sailing of the SSS Newsletter. In case you missed my Instagram Story last Saturday, I take full blame for the first edition missing all of the video action that was supposed to be present. I’m a newsletter newbie, so hopefully I’ll be acquiring new tricks and skills along the way - a good start would be simply getting the basics right, so let’s hopefully start there this week. LOL Thank you all for sticking around for Week 2, or even signing up sometime in the last 7 days. Welcome! Let’s get to it.
Magical Moon Farm in Marshfield IS Magical
Last Friday, my wife Kristin and I joined a couple of our friends from the South Shore Camera Club for a photo walk at Magical Moon Farm in Marshfield. The Farm (and Magical Moon Foundation) was founded by Donna Green, who is still director today.
Magical Moon Farm & Foundation is a 5 acre organic farm which is decked out in imaginative, special huts, gardens, statues, and other interesting things. It’s meant to be a safe space for children going through cancer and other kids dealing with terminal illnesses - and so much more, you’ll see.
I was there to take photographs and develop that slowly burgeoning skill but as soon as I met Donna Green and spoke with her for about 30 seconds I knew I needed to forego the photo schooling for a video to try to let people know about this amazing place and foundation. In case you missed that video, here you go:
PLEASE tell me there’s a video above. Please, please, please… 🤞🤞

“Circus by the Sea” Popping Up in Hull
I’m re-posting this article from last week because I wanted to include the cool video I found on YouTube about the circus (which didn’t quite make it last week). It’s a pretty interesting story that might make you feel a little more connection to the event.
‘Stars Above’ is a post-pandemic circus project aimed at reconnecting communities. Their whole mission is so interesting. I’ll let the video below do all the explaining because why not get the word right from the Ringmaster’s mouth? It’s underground, it’s exciting, it’s open-air by the sea. What’s not to love about ‘Stars Above,’ coming to Hull July 2nd and 3rd. Get tickets HERE. I missed the circus. The event is presented by the Hull Redevelopment Authority. And now that sweet video explaining all about ‘Stars Above:’
Aldous Collins Releases “South Shore” Anthem
South Shore favorite Aldous Collins is reflecting that love right back at the South Shore with his brand new song… fittingly titled… “South Shore.”
It’s a beachy, laid-back vibe in classic Aldous Collins fashion featuring shout-outs to a who’s who of South Shore business owners. Aldous has always been so supportive of local business and local people. Stream his new song “South Shore” wherever you stream your music and put it on loop! And check it out below - see how many local nods you can catch.
‘Red Sky’ Clears Up, Catch ‘The Drift’
Red Sky in Hull was home to a few of my family’s most memorable meals in the South Shore. The food was always great, as were the drinks, but the view can be absolutely spectacular. I know we have some killer restaurant views around the South Shore - Red Sky was always somewhere near the top of that list. Especially if you hit the sunset lottery.
Red Sky re-opened for the season as ‘The Drift,’ owned by the same restaurant group as Pearl & Lime and The Townsend (now Dotty’s Kitchen & Raw Bar) in Quincy.
We were there for opening night of the new restaurant and were pleasantly impressed:
We’re Audi 5000
That’ll do it for another week of the South Shore Stuff Newsletter. Hopefully all photos and videos were present and accounted for this go around. If so, we can start thinking about new features to add and/or rotate in. If you have any ideas, start throwing them our way! You can find me on Instagram (to DM me feedback) HERE or send us an email: [email protected]
As always, thank you for reading, watching, and (soon) listening! Huh? What’s that?!?
Have the best weekend. Enjoy the South Shore! You all are amazing. All love! ❤️
