Knock knock. Pineapple door.

HELLO!

It’s time once again to sprinkle your inbox with a little stuff from the South Shore. Father’s Day is this weekend so a big shout out to all the great dads out there. This weekend all ice cream, baked goods, and beer is calorie-free for fathers. I think I saw that on the internet somewhere so it must be true enough to pass on.

Vitamin Sea Looks Goooooood in Plymouth!

Vitamin Sea Brewing has opened it’s second location, fittingly snuggled up right across the street from the sea at 98 Water Street in Plymouth. Hey, I heard beer is calorie-free for dads this weekend. Did you hear that?

Owner Dino Funari told me that while all construction jobs see challenges, the Vitamin Sea team now has a roadmap to opening more taprooms in areas they want to be - when the time is right. This is a major jump for Vitamin Sea and the time seems right. Their brand has grown and flourished from the South Shore out, starting as a passion project in Hull, then opening the brewery/taproom in Weymouth, and now expanding to Plymouth.

Dino says a complete customer experience is the goal now. They put the same passion into their food program that they do into their beer. Just look at the massive chicken panini they had me try in the video below. Wow. And it was really good.

You can pick up cans to go in more varieties than I can express, there’s 24 taps kicking out fresh local Vitamin Sea too, the space is welcoming, the patio is huge and great, wins all around for fans of Vitamin Sea. And with 5 million tourists walking around Plymouth, they’re bound to make new fans as well.

Here’s our preview:

School’s Out For Summer!

Hard to believe that another school year has come and gone for many families on the South Shore. Congratulations kiddos! We hope this is the best summer ever for you! Parents, we’ll keep our ears to the ground and pass along fun activity spots and events to keep everybody occupied, engaged, and excited!

The first place we’ll throw your way is Big Bouncy Party at Kingston Collection. It’s an Indoor Inflatable Playground based in Kingston, MA which features a HUGE JumpPad, TWO 170ft long Obstacle Courses called "THE BEAST" and "VENOM", and a designated Toddler area for kids under 3 years old.

They have summer programs available as well. Learn more about those HERE! They do lots of birthday parties too. They’re open every day but Tuesdays and their hours can be found on their website.

Sea Trash to Sea Art… Camp?

I love the arts. I love the ocean. If you’re 2-for-2 with me, you’ll love what’s going on in Hull. Artist Jackie Ranney reached out to me and asked if we could give a little love to her Sea Art Summer Camp. The camp seems really cool. Housed right at her Hull art studio, the mission is to take sea debris and beach trash and turn it into appealing funky art that you’d be proud to display in your happy abode. No worries - everything has been properly cleaned and prepared for creativity. Here’s the flyer with all the info you’ll need:

When I asked Jackie why she finds this to be so special, she replied that it’s “really amazing inspiring kids to create incredible imaginative art while also educating them about ocean health and what we all can do to help!” So far it’s just for kids but think how fun this would be as an art sip adult project night!

Farmer’s Market Crawl Continues to Kingston

Every week I’m trying to hit a different farmer’s market to feature them with a little video love. This week we checked out Kingston Farmers Market and by good fortune I just so happened to be wearing my swimming trunks. The market is vast with great variety - there was even a kids activity area and face painting! Oh yes, and back to my swimming trunks. I’m thankful to have been wearing them as the market is located right at Grey’s Beach. It’s unique and very beautiful! (PS - OMG those Hardly Saints donuts!! So good.)

That’s all for this week - time for me to hop in ol’ blue, ride off into the clouds, and try to forget that Celtics game last night. Don’t worry, they’ll show up to play on Monday. Thanks so much for being here for a few minutes every weekend. If you’re liking this little newsletter, tell a friend! Word of mouth is how we’ll grow! Tell everyone to sign up at southshorestuff.com THANK YOU! Keep being awesome and we’ll talk with you next week.

Hey finally - we started offering our video services to local businesses (are your competitors smoking you online and with social?). CLICK HERE to check out our fun packages and please share with those who could use. Thanks so much. OK, now bye, Happy Father’s Day dads!
