Think it’s OK to give my daughters BEETS for Christmas this year? (Yes, I know it's July.)

A Tip of the Cap
A tip of the cap to say hello once again. This weekend’s opening photo from Jennifer Whelan’s “Front Doors of the South Shore” series reminds me of driving around the South Shore with younger versions of my two daughters. Every time we would drive by a house with an impressive wreath on their front door (any time of year) my youngest daughter Chloe, then 5-7 years old maybe, used to scream out “my hat!!” It’s a running joke in our family to this day. Whenever we see a nice wreath when we’re out driving we say “Chloe, your hat!!” Anyway, hope you’ve had a great week, thanks for coming back, let’s get to the Stuff…
A Question For You…
I really have a vision of creating community with South Shore Stuff. It’s meant to celebrate and promote all the great things here in the South Shore. And I want it to be a two-way street! So… this week’s Question For You is:
What is that one South Shore restaurant dish you crave the most?
Tell us WHAT, WHERE, and WHY and we’ll feature some answers next week! We might even turn one or two into a video feature! Email your answers to us sometime this weekend when you have a sec at [email protected]
And THANK YOU! ❤️

Those hydrangeas are LOVING this South Shore summer everywhere, huh?
Think it’s OK to give my daughters BEETS for Christmas this year?
I know, I know. It’s summer. Waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too soon to even make mention of anything winter. My bad.
BUT… the beet tower at Sorelle in Abington is something to behold, something to witness, something I’d actually consider dipping in lacquer so I can give it to my daughters as a funky decoration gift.
We were really impressed with Sorelle. The building looks kind of generic from the outside but stop passing it by and GO IN! The decorations are warm and inviting and the food is really imaginative and great. Here’s our Quick Look:

Great New BBQ and Sushi in Hull
We were pretty bummed when Nantasket Flatts in Hull announced that they were closing last season. They had plans to sell the business - but - PIVOT!
Nantasket Flatts did a great job decking out their patio and making it really, really FUN so we were excited to hear that they’re giving it another season! Now known as “High Tide at Nantasket Flatts,” there’s a lot going on here! Their famous fishbowl dranks still compliment a hot day perfectly on the patio. Their kitchen is cranking out delicious food from great burgers and dogs to lobster rolls and full lobsters!
The restaurant also welcomes Lily’s Craft BBQ! That’s right, two cuisines from two separate kitchens and chefs - both serving out of one restaurant! Perfect for families who don’t all want the same cuisine at once. And the BBQ is legit! Check it out:
As for the sushi in Hull? The Parrot is now serving sushi! They brought in a new sushi chef, we heard it was great, so my wife and I stopped in last weekend and gobbled down a Parrot Roll. It was delicious! Go give the sushi a shot, sushi-lovers! C’est bien!
