Welcome, South Shore Stuffies! TAKE 2 (Sorry!)

Welcome to the all-new South Shore Stuff Weekly Newsletter!
I hope it’s ok that I call you “Stuffies?” I was going to say “South Shore Stuffers” but then people would be concerned over what they were stuffing, and where. So for now, “Stuffies” it is!
First off - a huge THANK YOU for opting in. We appreciate you very much and our only goal is to bring you VALUE of some kind.
We’ll attempt to do this by only penning articles that we think you will find useful or entertaining (we’ll shoot for both).
We have also partnered with an amazing South Shore photographer, Jennifer Lynn Photography, to provide some beautiful images from around the South Shore in these newsletters. I love her work, I love her as a human. Win win. We’ll start every Newsletter off with one of her awesome photos from her “Front Doors of the South Shore” project. I think it’s an appropriate (and visually appealing) way to welcome you in each week. Thank you very much Jen and welcome aboard!
We’ll listen to reader feedback and try to make this whatever the community wants - by listening to you, tweaking, listening some more, re-tweaking - what I’m trying to say is that we’re a team. Let’s develop this thing into something you actually look forward to getting and reading… and not grunting at and deleting upon first sight. We definitely don’t want to clog your inbox, we want to bring you small pops of rad people and places from around the South Shore. So let’s get going! Thanks for being here.
Marshfield Flea Market Delights Despite Mother Nature Grumpiness
We hit the Marshfield Spring Flea Market last Sunday and it didn’t disappoint, despite a moody weather day.
I spent the first 9 years of my life growing up in New Jersey. My family frequented the Englishtown Auction there. It’s a massive weekly flea market where you can find pretty much anything under the sun and then some. I have such vivid memories from there and the semi-annual flea market in Marshfield was reminiscent of it, shrunk down to a more manageable size.
It was the perfect size for an afternoon of strolling and browsing, wheeling and dealing. I really loved the Marshfield Flea Market. I loved it for the lost treasures resurfacing all around, I loved it for the excitement of possibly finding something truly special, and most of all I loved it for the top notch people watching. So much to see - product and people-wise.
And the food was great too! Welcome back to the road, Thyme Traveling Food Truck! I was worried watching their social updates that they may miss a season, which would be awful for them and bad for us too (their food is so good). But thankfully we bumped into them here at the market and even got to shake hands with the man that fixed the truck and got them back on tasty road. It was great to see Ellie’s Treats and Sarcastic Swine there as well!
I went to the flea market with the mission to A) show as much as I could of what you can see inside and B) buy one thing and one thing only. Wanna see so you can prepare yourself for the next one? Here you go:

‘Circus By the Sea’ Popping Up in Hull
‘Stars Above’ is a post-pandemic circus project aimed at reconnecting communities. Their whole mission is so interesting. I’ll let the video below do all the explaining because why not get the word right from the Ringmaster’s mouth? It’s underground, it’s exciting, it’s open-air by the sea. What’s not to love about ‘Stars Above,’ coming to Hull July 2nd and 3rd. Get tickets HERE. I missed the circus. The event is presented by the Hull Redevelopment Authority. And now that sweet video explaining all about ‘Stars Above:’
We Just Turned 3!

Whether you’re from Hingham or Cohasset or Plymouth or Duxbury, we’re all from the South Shore! Sounds a little corny, I know, but we are!
My wife Kristin and I celebrated the SSS anniversary at Jake’s Seafood in Hull, which is now open for the season! Here’s a vid:
